Where’s the DIRT in Copenhagen?!! - Part 1

Kudos to street artists in near freezing (37 degrees Fahrenheit) Copenhagen sitting in tubs of dirty water to make their symbolic point. I'm pleased to report that, remarkably, not a single climate change deny-er passing by the tub-sitters was water-ballooned. (Such restraint might have been more difficult for your loyal Dirt Road Warrior.)

While the temperature this decade continues to climb, thousands of like-minded citizens of the planet have gathered in Copenhagen to talk about climate change. Millions of people around the world are paying attention.

Folks are talking about atmosphere and temperature and rising water and carbon offsets. Talking about which country should do what. And when. And where.

The quality of the conversation, the numbers of people participating in that dialogue, tell us we've come a long way. And that's just fine.  But it's time for action ... not just words.

Will they remember the ground beneath our feet in Copenhagen?

The Kyoto Protocol focused on agricultural soils. Any solutions for dealing with the effects of climate change that come out of Copenhagen need to include dirt everywhere.

Speaking on behalf of Dirt: The Movie! it's time to say "Soil is a solution!"  Spread the word. Can you dig it?
